Scimitar for Sale

I can see from the "Engine" pictures, Top Right of engine bay, there are the Four holes that the FACTORY VIN plate should be located. I don`t have access to the factory numbers at present, BUT it sounds like it may have been "Rung" at some point to get Tax Free. Early cars used 93X There does not se...

Worrying Wear On Distributor Drive

In no particular order :w The Skew gear on the dizzy is machined from cast iron and is not hardened. The drive teeth on the camshaft is Case Hardened and "Parkerised" so is harder than the dizzy gear. The Dizzy can only put extra pressure on its skew gear teeth if either the Oil pump drive is tight ...

Jim I have a few BRAND NEW ones from the early V6 engine, I think they are actually screwed together, rather than the pressed steel type, so you could in theory "mess" with them if needed??.

New SE6 owner..

Any experience of the cologne and side link box would be useful... Pete the "manual SE6b and GTC came with the 2.8 and "side link gearbox and I have still got an SE6b with this box and overdrive fitted, so it`s a very easy fit for any Scimitar without resorting to extreme engineering. IF you wanted...

Moss - SuperPro front suspension bushes £39.72

Dam, wiped the pics off my phone. I have a selection of Yellow bushes, some of which failed within a year. I have a fitting sleeve to fit the Yellow/Blue polly type, so no need to split them. As Joe states, the fulcrum and top arm surfaces must be as new or polishes or the bushes just w...

The "Mighty" SE6 - Internal Recycling

GW and QRG are the Two biggest suppliers for most parts. BUT if you ask on Scimweb first you may get a bargain off someone who bought a part and has not used it. I have a large stock of parts such as Gasket sets ( 3lt & 2.8 ) Rear brake shoes SE6a onwards, Handbrake cables, SE5a Clutch cables, rear ...

Moss - SuperPro front suspension bushes £39.72

I have a few sets of OE lower bushes that are still in the Stanpart or R part packets, or came from "Known" suppliers. Once pressed into the cleaned up lower arms they act just as Alford & Alder wanted them to, and without PAS fluid dripping onto them, they will outlast the polyurethane moulded unit...

Moss - SuperPro front suspension bushes £39.72

Please be warned the LOWER set uses a "Loose" mounting sleeve and the ORIGINAL setup, which usually lasts 15/20/25/30 years is a BONDED unit and the rubber flexes rather than rotates on the inner sleeve. The Scimitar SE5 onwards weighs a lot more than the TR4 et al, so the Scimitar wears thro...
