New and looking...

Both SE5 & SE6 models are as good in their own way, SE5 more sporting model, SE6 more of a GT cruiser
And welcome, Berks noggin is a pretty good one I believe for some reason

thanks Mike, don't suppose you might have a couple of the retaining nuts as well ? had to cut and split mine to get them off
I bought mine from QRG at Curbs last year, only couple of quid each, also available from that well known internet auction site

Geert van Hout had some remanufactured a few years ago - I bought several pairs in so we could share postage costs. Were they from that group buy, Mike?
Yep. found a set in the garage with his card inside the packaging, have 2 sets as one for coupe and one for the se5 I had at the time

Exhaust heat shields under the floors?

To be honest I never found the inside of my SE6b getting that hot from the silencers, now my coupe that's a whole different kettle of fish where much thermal stuff will be added during the rebuild

Red Coupe again

Apparently it’s got a Cosworth engine but the picture looks like a red Essex Bit too pricey for a glam Coupe , but very good all the same In fairness the advert does say 'Cosworth V6 Essex motor' though I can't say I've heard of that before Which for me sets off alarm bells.... Guessing the seller ...

Mad prices of Fords

Think for those high prices a matching number set is really required, a re engined 1.3 crapi isn't really ever going to be a 3.0 crapi is it certainly pricewise though can understand your reasoning on the subject
It'll always be a crapi sadly nothing can ever change that

The insulator block is used on the colonge engine if my memory serves me right thoug could be talking cobblers, I've bought 2 carbs in the past one for each engine type and only have 1 insulator spare now.
