Rob, the hinges themselves don't there should be a restraint unit under the bottom of the door that's connected to the sill inside the door opening, from memory should be a pin it connects to or a pin that goes into sill

Yep most stores sold off everything including the kitchen sink (well shop fittings) lat month sadly, will have to mail order bits and bobs I used to get from them now I guess

From what I've seen a coupe and se5 door shell is the same 5a virtually the same so can't see why the hinge fixing plated would differ, currently doing the same with my coupe but with flat steel plate and welded bolts, reasoned that they lasted 40 years and are more than likely to be on a car that's...

Steve, yep plenty of headroom once I've removed the lifting beam that I've never actually used and not likely to.
Mark, good point on the rollers will acquire some sheet steel and create a runway.

Presumably the fan cuts in then out when stationary, my 6b ran hot and occasionally did a kettle impression, re-cored radiator and since then it was fine no matter what the weather sat there at an indicated 90 all day with fan cutting in and out as it should do, as Jim said it's probably silted up b...
